About this test

Answer for what you’d naturally do without an alarm or a schedule. You’ll see where you sit between morning lark and night owl, and what that means for when you study and work.

Questions people ask

What is a chronotype?

Your natural timing for sleep and alertness: whether your body clock runs early (a morning lark), late (a night owl) or in between.

Can a night owl become a morning person?

Partly. Chronotype is partly genetic, but light shifts it: bright morning daylight and dim evenings can move you earlier by a little.

Why are teenagers night owls?

Body clocks shift later in adolescence and early adulthood, then drift earlier with age. It’s biology, not laziness.
